Do you like Chopped or other food competition shows? Here is a chance to try it for yourself!
Food Challenge participants get 40 minutes to create a dish with items they do not see before hand. They work as a team to prepare the dish and present it to a panel of judges. Food safety and nutritional knowledge are important factors in this competition! Students have the opportunity to compete in County, District and State Competitions.
All members learn about My Plate and are required to prepare for & participate in the Nutrition Quiz Bowl in addition to Food Challenge.
This project meets monthly for a 2 hour: 1 hr. of education and skills, 1 hr of Food Challenge practice.
This project may include an additional project fee.
