Carol Garrison

Algebra, Algebra II, Precalculus & Trigonometry

Carol is a passionate math instructor with over 30 years of teaching experience. After retiring in 2012, Carol continued to tutor in math even teaching at SDG's on-site campus. 

Carol holds a BSE in Math Grades 7-12 & a MSE in Curriculum & Instruction from University of Central Missouri

Adrian Passarelli

Spanish

Adrian is a Church planter and Pastor of Iglesia de la Gracia del Senior Jesuscristo in Puntarenas, Costa Rica. He is an excellent teacher ad for the past year has refined his use of online tools to help his students learn spanish efficiently. Pastor Adrian is also President of Puritan Coffee. He and his wife Lindsey have 3 children.

From the Teacher:

Learning a language gives us a new tool in the service of God. I think it is very important to learn to speak Spanish since it is used in so many countries. It encourages me to think that my students will be able to share the good news of salvation in Spanish.

Merri Ann Smith

Music Theory

Merri Ann Smith is a devout Christian, wife, and homeschooling mother who believes that music is a powerful gift to be used for the Glory of God!

 

Merri Ann strives to instill the love and passion she feels for music in her students each week. She is the Director of the highly successful Heaven Sent Choirs in Houston. She was home-schooled from kindergarten through high school and has actively participated in choral music for more than 20 years.

 

Merri Ann values the powerful impact that music has on lives. She believes that with music many things are possible. Her prayer is that through the teaching of vocal technique, sight-reading, and music theory, her love for music will shine through to her students.

Laurel Westmoreland

Beginner Flute & Recorder

She has a life-long passion for music and began playing the flute at age 12.  She is a flutist who has played in concert band, marching band, church orchestra, and in a flute quartet.  She graduated from Simpson University with a BA in Liberal Studies.  She loves the Lord and desires to praise Him with the flute.  Currently, she is a homemaker and a church musician. She volunteers her time to play at nearby care homes while continuing her flute studies. She teaches beginner flute. 

Laurel and her husband Kyle reside in Conroe, TX. They have been married for 11 years and are faithfully trusting the Lord to expand their family.

Janice Wright

English & Composition,

North Houston 4-H Club Manager

Janice is the Founder of Soli Deo Gloria School and has home schooled her five children for 10 years. A former middle school teacher, she loves encouraging young people to become leaders and develop their gifts. She is married to Pastor Aaron, has a BA in Christian Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, is committed to classical education and is an advocate for Christians reclaiming the arts! She is also author of the blog, Broccoli for Breakfast.
